We are REVIEW WRITERS!
This week we learned that some people have the awesome job of playing video games or going to restaurants then writing their OPINION in a REVIEW. We are becoming REVIEWERS!

Our 100th Day of School!
WOW! Can you believe we've been in school for 100 days?? We had a great 100th day celebration! We made 100th day crowns, wrote about our 100th birthday, made a list of 100 words we can spell, and did a 100 second experiment!

This week in Spelling we are working on OW and OU words. We know that they make the sound you say when you get hurt - OW or OUCH! You can find your child's Star Sight Words AND OW/OU words in their Flyer Binder on a pink piece of card stock.
In Math, we are making a shift away from addition and subtraction into GEOMETRY! We will be studying 2D and 3D shapes, defining attributes, composite shapes, wholes, halves, and quarters.
In Writing, we are still in our Opinion Unit but we are moving away from our collection writing. We are beginning to write PERSUASIVE pieces. Keep an eye out for your child's collection in their backpack - we won't need them anymore!
