With a new year beginning, we have been talking a lot about goals. This week we set writing goals to help make our writing easy to read!

Did you know there are different ways to write numbers? First graders in Room 16 know FOUR different ways so far! We still have a few more ways to learn!

A Writing Celebration!
To wrap up our nonfiction writing unit, First Grade had a WRITING CELEBRATION today! We always get to share our writing with our own classmates, but today we got to share with ALL First Graders! From 1:00-1:30 we spent time going between the four first grade classrooms to share our animal teaching books with our friends from other classes. Check out pictures from our celebration! You might see a twin or a friend from kindergarten in Room 16! :)
