Daily Five!

Daily Five is in full swing in Room 16! During our literacy block, we can choose Read to Self, Read to Someone, Listen to Reading, Word Work, or Work on Writing. In addition to those five choices, Mrs. Marting and Miss Greteman meet with small groups. Check us out!

Read to Self:
Pick a spot and park it!
Reading the WHOLE time!

Read to Someone:
Sitting EEK! (Elbow to elbow, knee to knee)
Sharing the book
Taking turns
Checking for understanding 

Listen to Reading:
Pick a spot and park it!
Headphones plugged in ALL THE WAY!

Word Work:
Magnetic letters!
Interactive Whiteboard!
Dry erase boards!
Stamps!

Work on Writing:
Pick a spot and park it!
Writing the WHOLE time!
